Notes: Beware, a multi-layered show such as Route 78 West is under surveillance at all times.

Another roadtrip through Uncle Jeff's psyche. He sits coughing in a big padded chair randomly pressing buttons to hear what happens. He puts out an APB, "An all Ghost Riders In The Sky show is in the works... so what do you think?"

The phone lights up instantly, but it's only Ukulele Loki's truant officer... he didn't show up for class.

"Well sir, Ukulele Loki follows his own program. He is his own ball of wax. He is a rock star. Now, get off the line. You are blocking important calls from friends and relatives wanting to explain the world to us. You know, tips about living life and celebrating halloween and painfully serious leave the highway type yelling. All things we have come to enjoy."

Oh yes, following the centerline is predictable, but the soupy sinful side road is a direct route to the fun we like. I mean all anybody is doing every day is trying to keep going. I guess that's just all there is and when you give up on that you'll be laying on your back staring at the ceiling. So, cut a tree down. Get a new view. Sing about your sins and leave time alone. What's your story?

Just another typical dry hot fall day. Something that you're lucky to get and who knows how long it will last. Drive, drive, drive. The curves feel good at high speed. Your cross on the side of the road is not my cross. On those long down hill stretches put it in neutral and coast all the way and dig this warped movie while you can. And if you please, buy us a round of drinks! Thanks.

Radio 1190 and Route 78 West present Local 33, WD-40 and Ukulele Loki's Gadabout Orchestra this Friday, November 2 at the Oriental Theater.
