Notes: Route 78 West went on the air with a crew of DJs and the erratic webmaster. We're all mic'd. We're all happy hipsters in a worn way. Hybrid hippies interfacing the system of control. Early on the word was post-show Rio Grande rally. The struggle of a hardcore summer setting in had dashed our typical sunday councils. Add bits of generally heavy pressure and reckless partying to seemingly safe travel plans and the immediate area tends to crumble. The struggle keeps it real as the going gets narrower and darker, but the funnel gets us back to the light and creates the illusion of being under control.

We are what we appear to be. DAS DAs... pass us on the sidewalk. Then you will know.

Today's hot trak is Under Control by Howard Perkins. Closely following were Loki's ukulele improv's during breaks. I especially liked his lunge toward a raga sound.

In your own way stay under control on the 4th. It's a day to celebrate, so when shopping at the liquor store get the good stuff and don't drink out of the bottle. Blow off a few cherry bombs just to keep the neighbors wondering and tune in to 1190 for 24 hours of Route 78 West "Best Of" reruns.

Check the Denver/Boulder concert scene.

Bardos Freedom and Mister Z we miss you.

Till next week.
